Sebaoth

Sebaoth
En hebreo Tsebaoth quiere decir ejército. Por extensión se denomina así al ejército celestial del dios Jehová. Se aplica también como sobrenombre a ese mismo dios, como regidor de Israel, de los ángeles y de las estrellas. Uno de los varios nombres que los judíos dan a Dios es Adonay Shebaot, que podría traducirse como ‘Señor de los ejércitos’. Es uno de los que aparecen en la Torah (El Pentateuco de la Biblia Cristiana). Un judío ortodoxo nunca dirá el nombre de D's ni lo escribirá, ni en hebreo (el famoso tetragrama cuya pronunciacion se perdió), ni en ninguna lengua vernacula.
